Kalvi Yathirai 2013: A Phenomenon in Education

Lord Murugan who descended the prayer of Indian community sent out a clear message – The prayer of an honest, sincere and deserving CHILD will be blessed and answered. 150,000 pilgrims across the nation gathered together to offer selfless prayer for unity and betterment. Since 1995, Kalvi Yathirai became an integral part of SMC. It is an annual pilgrimage undertaken by Indian children along with the parents to selected holy sites to receive the blessing of Almighty. It is a family project.

The 12 holy sites of 18th Kalvi Yathirai:-

1. Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayagar Temple,Brickfields,KL
2. Sri Mahamariamman Temple,Petaling Estate, Petaling Jaya 
3. Sri Balasubramania Swami Temple ,Port Klang 
4. Sri Balathandayuthabani Temple, Waterfall, Penang
5. Sri Balasubramaniyar Temple Kallumalai, Ipoh
6. Nagamalai Temple, Bukit Pasir, Muar
7. Sri Bala Subramaniam Temple, Skudai
8. Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Batu 14, Puchong
9. Sri Veera Batharakaliamman Temple, Kajang
10. Sri Vinayagar Temple,Batu Caves
11. Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Teluk Panglima Garang
12. Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Kulim

The prayer began with Ganapathy Homam followed by single minded recital of Sivapuranam and Maha Vithya Yaagam. Agni Bhagavan LISTENED, PURIFIED & DELIVERED the sincere prayers of the Indian community to Lord Murugan. The silent gathering instilled confidence and  dispelled fear from the young warriors who are into their final phase towards UPSR, PMR, SPM and STPM and thus motivated them to go all out towards VICTORY.
