SMC Alumni Achievement: Puan Deepa Muthu

Sri Murugan Centre proudly celebrates the remarkable journey of Puan Deepa Muthu, whose path from SMC Alor Setar in 2000 to serving the nation as Timbalan Pengarah, Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia, reflects the power of discipline, service, and perseverance. As a student of SMC Alor Setar, Deepa embraced the values of hard work and dedication that became the foundation of her future success. She later joined the SMC Youth Wing and volunteered actively in the SPM program under the guidance of then coordinator, Mr. Gugan. Her commitment to service and leadership was evident even in her student years. After excelling in her studies, she was accepted to pursue her degree at the University of Malaya, one of Malaysia’s most prestigious institutions. Upon graduation, she was selected to join the civil service as a PTD officer, a significant milestone in her career path. Today, her journey has led her to a position of leadership and responsibility as Deputy Director at the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, where she continues to serve the nation with integrity and dedication. The SMC community takes great pride in celebrating Puan Deepa Muthu’s achievements. Her story stands as an inspiration to all students showing that with discipline, service, and determination, every dream is within reach.
