A Universiti Malaya graduate who continues to give back as an SMC volunteer

Karnan Arasu’s journey shows that education is not only about academic success but also about building character, purpose, and a sense of responsibility. As a former student of SMC Brickfields who achieved 10 A’s in SPM marking the beginning of his academic journey. With strong determination and discipline he then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at Universiti Malaya. Throughout his years of study and even after graduating, Karnan continued to serve SMC as a volunteer showing his commitment to the community that supported him from the start. By choosing to give back while building his future, Karnan reflects the true spirit of education by learning with purpose and serving with compassion. His journey highlights the values that SMC aims to instil in every student such as excellence, gratitude, and responsibility. Karnan’s story is an inspiration to both current students and alumni.
